Meet Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren and I am glad you're here! I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Registered Psychotherapist with a background in healthcare and a holistic approach to mental health. I support adults in exploring the root causes of anxiety, relationship challenges, and unresolved emotional patterns, often tied to early attachment and relational wounds.

My practice integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1), EMDR, somatic therapy, mindfulness, emotion-focused, and nervous system regulation. These approaches allow clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and create space for meaningful, lasting change.

I work with individuals who may appear high functioning on the outside but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck. Many of the people I support are navigating:

  • Functional anxiety, overthinking, and perfectionism

  • Relationship patterns shaped by childhood dynamics

  • Complex trauma

  • Emotional numbness, self-worth, and inner criticism

  • Grief and loss

  • A desire for greater clarity, alignment, and inner peace

I am especially attuned to working with men and young women seeking a deeper connection with themselves beyond roles or expectations. My approach is grounded, relational, and informed by a deep respect for the body’s wisdom and our connection to the natural world.

Credentials and Training:

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology

  • Internal Family Systems Level 1

  • EMDR trained

  • Certified Yoga Instructor (200hr)

  • Over 20 years of experience in healthcare

Lauren wishes to acknowledge the land where she does her healing and her work. She strives to be in better connection with the Earth. This includes acknowledging and honouring the peoples who have been in relationship to the land long before European settlement and colonization. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, îethka Nakoda Nations: Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney and Tsuut’ina Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta Districts 5 and 6. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory. She is grateful for the ability to love this land, and she takes her responsibility towards it seriously.
